A Free Gift!

The greatest gift that we can ever receive is the gift of salvation.  We are all sinners, but Christ died on the cross to take away all our sins. Once we are saved, we can never lose this wonderful gift. There are some that still teach that we can lose our salvation, but this is not the case with eternal life. We will deal more about this topic later. Satan, who is against everything that God is for, does all he can to get the Christian to doubt his salvation. He tries several different tactics to bring this doubt into our minds: he first plants doubt or unbelief in our thoughts, then he also tries to make us think we count not be saved because of some past or present sin in our lives, and finally he tries to make us think that we said or did something wrong when we got saved. If you are having doubts about your salvation, go back to a time or place when you trusted Christ as your Saviour. If you do not have a time or place, then you might not really be saved. Some people remember everything about when they trusted Christ and others do not. They know in their hearts that they have trusted Christ, but they can’t remember the details about what had happened. It all comes down to what are you doing with Christ right now and what are you trusting in to get you to heaven. There is not a certain sinner’s prayer that one must say in order to get to heaven, nor is there a certain plan of action that one must do in order to be saved. All of us must first realize that we are sinners in the sight of God, and that we need a perfect Saviour to save us from our sins. We must turn from our sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. Once this takes place, we are now saved and in the family of God. Don’t let the devil trick you to believe that you are not really saved and not on your way to heaven.

Exciting News!

We are thrilled to launch Moments in the Word! My dad has always had a burden to write thoughts, devotions, and Biblical truths to help other Christians in their walk. And I too have had a desire to share some things the Lord is teaching me as well through His Word. So we've teamed up to bring Moments in the Word. Lord willing, we will be sharing more often and even have some special guest posts. Our new blog website is momentsitw.com and please feel free to send us some comments as well as thoughts on topics to discuss.
